‘The Batman’ Confirmed To Primarily Shoot At Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden

HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that filming on Matt Reeves’ The Batman will indeed be taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

An assumed location due to previous production reports pointing towards it filming in London/UK, but we’ve been able to confirm with a local source.

The stage facility is located in Watford, England and as the name would suggest is one of the studio’s main production hubs. It’s likely best known for being where Warner Bros. shot the Harry Potter films and the last two Fantastic Beasts movies.

It was the main stage location where Batman v Superman, Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Woman 1984 filmed.

However, not every DC Comics production films in England.

The Joker shot in New York City, Birds of Prey shot in Los Angeles, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will shoot at Pinewood Atlanta Studios later this month, Toronto was also the filming location for both the first Suicide Squad shot and Shazam!.

Due to some extensive delays on both The Flash and Fantastic Beasts 3, it has allowed production on The Batman to indeed stay in England (remains to be seen what the secondary filming locations could be).

Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Dawn of The Planet of The Apes) is tackling double duty as both screenwriter and director on the reboot.

Robert Pattinson (The Lighthouse, Tenet) has been officially confirmed as the new Bruce Wayne/Batman taking the reigns from Ben Affleck.

While the rest of the casting is currently ongoing, we should be hearing the bulk of the cast before the end of the year.

Warner Bros. has set the film’s release date for June 25th, 2021.
